این نوشته بابک رو دوست داشتم.
گرچه به نظرم بازم توی این داستان حرف هست. کره ای ها، مث ما، صف های طولانی با گردن های کج جلوی سفارت آمریکا و درخواست ویزا و گرین کارت و این چیزا رو قبول کرده ان. نگرانی از واکنش آمریکا اولین چیزیه که به ذهن آدم میاد و اون قدر تاثیرگذار توی سرنوشت آدم هست که یادش بره از این که می شه از جنبه دیگه هم به این روند اعتراض/نگاه کرد.

I read Babak's point of view on VT shooting incident. But I do not agree with him. His perspective is true for 50% of the entire story at max.
He somehow missed the role of family, which is by the way the very first protective layer in society.
If his family were blind to this young man's mental sickness, or even worse, if they were ignoring or neglecting his illness, then it is not right to solely blame America for this tragedy. His family should have noticed his mental problem much earlier and done something about it.
Do not misunderstand me, I am not defending America, rather trying to open another perspective to this event.

No, I did not want to ignore the role of family. My point of view is that how the American react to these events is a threat to the multiculturalism. When say a Korean does something wrong, they generalize it to the entire ethnic group and deal with it as "the clash of civilizations" preserving the American culture out of it. They widen the fault line between civilizations by blaming "others". And these "others" are so week that they act as real suspects showing embarrassment under fingers of accusation; like a child who is afraid that "the father" is not content with what he's done!
